Job Description:


Schneider Electric has an opportunity for a Business Development Manager located in Coppell, Lubbock or Texarkana, Texas within the United States. In this role you will lead and support the sales of the Schneider Electric US Home & Distribution Line of Business for the Texas/Louisiana sales areas.


What will you do?

  • Ability to effectively cultivate and maintain relationships with existing customers.
  • Implement and execute the launch of new offers to ensure goals are met.
  • Assist with gathering voice of customer input to help continuously improve our offer.
  • Create sales playbooks for the region/area to achieve sales and growth objectives for the Line of Business (LoB).
  • Work with and effectively cultivate sales and channel teams to execute the Home & Distribution LoB playbook to help achieve sales and growth goals.
  • Proficient and effective in converting accounts to help achieve goals of the business.
  • Work with sales to meet or exceed margin expectations.
  • Actively engage with pricing team and in price increase discussions to help the sales team implement price changes.
  • Assist in defining offer gaps and work with the offer team to close those gaps.
  • Lead product training sessions for the area sales teams and the wholesale channel for the LoB offers.
  • Act as the technical interface between sales and the Schneider Electric offer and technical support teams.
  • Support Global Supply Chain initiatives to maintain our On-time-Delivery standards
  • Work with all entities across the electrical construction industry, sales, marketing, consulting engineers, electrical inspectors, builders, developers, and installers to enhance brand loyalty.


What qualifications will make you successful?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Marketing, Management, Business Administration
  • 5 years of with related field experience working with electrical contractors and the electrical distribution channel.
  • Approximately 50% domestic travel, to Schneider Electric locations and customer sites is required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively within all levels of organizations, both internally and externally.
  • Must possess the ability to assess problems as well as opportunities, develop cross-functional improvement plans to grow revenues and profits, and drive outstanding performance through tactical hands-on leadership concerning the Partner Retail line of business.
